BIOGRAPHY

MAIEUTISTE

A complex and orchestral album masterfully executed. A journey through Black Metal and ambient music… an exploration of various musical territories, such as folk rock, jazz or doom.
Maïeutiste delivers an unclassifiable yet universal experience during which the boundaries of Black Metal are shattered without ever losing its aggressiveness.
Written over a period of 5 years and deeply rooted in extreme metal, this first album breaks free from all the conventional aspects inherent to the very concept of genre and comes alive through each of its 11 epic tracks. Maïeutiste recorded their full-length in several places to do justice to the album’s unexpected and versatile nature.
A travel diary to rediscover during each listening.

Words from the label manager, Gérald Milani :
Another french band for the most French extrem label on Earth. You know that we aim to support our domestic scene, even more bands with a real identity, either in terms of visual and sound. It took MAIEUTISTE 8 years to give birth to this timeless piece of work, and it worthed it. Based on a strong concept, the music is huge, awesome ! Yes, the compositions are complexes, varied and nuts, yes it’s a demanding music, yes it needs several listening before understanding and even appreciating the album for what it worth. For that, MAIEUTISTE makes things real good and pushes the concept as far as they can. Add the fact that the guys are awesome, you will easily understand why we couldn’t miss out on this band. Once again, it’s a band we are really proud of working with, because the madness that lives in them also lives in us.
