BIOGRAPHY

Skaphos is a French Abyssal Death Metal band formed in 2018 and signed to Transcending Obscurity Records.
The band has released three albums : Bathyscaphe (2020), Thooï (2022) and Cult of Uzura (2025), merging the eerie dissonances of Black Metal with the sheer heaviness of Death Metal.

“Skaphos is the perfect candidate to combine Black and Death Metal in a very violent way” – Acta Infernalis

Renowned for their harrowing, ritualistic live shows, Skaphos has performed in over 20 countries, touring across Europe and Asia with legendary acts such as I Am Morbid, Vader, Marduk, Suffocation, Belphegor, Batushka and Vomitory.

“Skaphos managed to make it a hell of a performance, with brutal riffs, menacing rhythms, the French definitely created an astonishing atmosphere” – Antichristmagazine.com

Their abyssal universe extends beyond the stage, with evocative music videos and the short film La Litanie des Flots (2022). They are currently working on a full-length film, Aurores Noires, scheduled for 2026.
